Donate and Help Stop Breed Specific Legislation By pressing the following button this will allow you to make a donation of your specification that will be used strictly to support the efforts of eliminating Breed Specific Legislation ( BSL ). Such activities will include the paying of legal fees, educational material, and political activism. To our knowledge this is the first and only fund developed specifically to create legal change and used to effectuate political outcomes. Thousands of individuals every year have their Pit Bulls and other breeds targeted by Breed Specific Laws ( BSL ) confiscated and destroyed based on the idea of gaining political favoritism, faulty and inconclusive data presented as fact, and sheer spite. One of the most egregious offenders and hypocrites for animal welfare is the organization known as People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals ( PETA ), which are so hypocritical in their nature they oppose killing animals for food but have actively deceived caring animal advocate and routinely kill all manner of pets they acquire. PETA's co-founder Ingrid Newkirk has openly stated that all Pit Bulls should be killed and have made slanderous and libelous statements against Pit Bull owners calling them naive, uncaring, drug dealers, pimps and more. Most areas have animal welfare laws that will accomplish the same end goal as Breed Specific Legislation ( BSL ) purports to do. These laws protect the rights of individuals who are responsible and punish those individuals who are not. The biggest problem with these existing animal welfare laws is their reluctance to and lack of enforcement. This is negligence and dereliction of duty pure and simple. For municipalities who have these laws and do not enforce them yet turn to BSL and punish responsible owners this will no longer be tolerated. This is discrimination and constitutionally unacceptable. With these funds we will be beginning lawsuits against these towns, counties, states and other municipal bodies and will be suing for not just a change in laws and ordinances but for compensation to be rendered to those who have been victimized by the enactment of BSL. No matter where you live if you own a breed such as a Pit Bull, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Bulldog, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Presa, or for that matter any other large breed the outcome of this case will affect you to some degree in the future if not already. Please help us stop this travesty of justice and show legislators, politicians, judges, mayors, city managers and any other representatives that to promote or support such discriminating laws this is no longer acceptable. All donations are appreciated. No matter how large or how small. Many of you spend considerable sums of money buying various breed club magazines, taking part in shows, and in the purchase of items for your dog, which may soon be the target. We are just asking that you take this into consideration and realize that if such laws are allowed to continue they will only gain in fervor and when your dog is seized all that money will have been wasted, all the time you will have spent with your companion will have been thrown away, and all the emotions you have invested will be discarded as having no value. Please help show your pride as an owner and make a statement against Breed Specific Laws ( BSL ).
