Welcome to Desert Image Pit Bull Rescue!  We pride ourselves in taking in homeless Pits and placing them in good environment homes.  We were established in April of 2002 and have been rescuing pits from all over the state!  We are located in Dewey, Arizona.  Our staff is extremely small, but very devoted.  Right now there are just two of us taking care of these great animals, but we are always looking for foster parents.  If you would like to contact us, you can reach us by phone at (928) 632-0452 Rachael or at (928)710-0152 Kim.  Please feel free to call if you have any questions!!

Currently Available for adoption

Sadie:
Sadie was adopted to a young family last month and they let her go outside by herself and were surprised she did not stay in the yard!! Sadie is not even a year old and needs to be in a fenced yard. This is a wonderful young Lady and deserves an attentive family. Sadie will be fostered until a mature, loving family can be found to provide her a secure & forever home. She is up to date with routine shots, already house trained, & spayed.  She prefers male dogs and no cats or children.

Happy Endings:

This picture is of Vegas (red) & Reno (black) - Rachael's dogs. They are rescues that I adopted. We took Vegas in while on vacation in Las Vegas. She was in the pound and was the only one not barking. She has been our baby ever since. She is the sweetest thing in the whole world! Reno was adopted about 3 months ago and came into the rescue with her mom and dad and 6 brothers and sisters. She was the last puppy and I just couldn't part with her. They have become a big part of our lives!!

Desert Image will spay or neuter any animal that comes in to the rescue.  They will all have their annual vaccinations including rabies.  Each dog is de-wormed upon arrival and departure.

At Desert Image we are dedicated to providing the highest level of care to our Pit Bulls while we search for them a new and loving home. As with any rescue there are costs involved in providing our services. Unfortunately we must often times balance what we can do for the Pit Bull community with the amount of donations we receive. Any assistance you could provide would help us help more Pits. This is a list of our most current needs:

  • Crates - to make our nest in and provide us a secure place to stay while being transported

  • Blankets - to keep us warm and provide us both physical and emotional comfort

  • Bowls - to have as our own and to help keep us well from potential disease transmission

  • Food - to fill out bowls and our tummies

  • Leashes and Collars - so we may walk with the protection of our care givers

  • Toys - to play with and provide us companionship

  • Financial Assistance - so that our providers can pay for our housing expenses that can not be met in other ways
