The APBR is the largest Pit Bull specific registry in the world and registers Pit Bulls internationally. In addition to registration services we are the largest information provider on the world wide web in regards to the American Pit Bull Although the primary focus of the American Pit Bull Registry ( APBR ) is to register pure bred Pit Bulls, our services do not stop there. The APBR is a comprehensive resource for the Pit Bull dog breed, owners, rescues, shelters and those wishing to learn more about the breed. The American Pit Bull Registry ( APBR ) is the largest repository of information on Pit Bulls and is considered to be the number one resource and clearinghouse on the Internet with thousands of pages of general and member exclusive content. This site is designed to help you learn more about Pit Bulls and provide insight to understanding the heritage and importance of the breed. This site will also help you learn ways to help the American Pit Bull Terrier ( APBT ) breed overcome any negative stigma and bias some have of the breed , reduce the number of unnecessary euthanaisas in pounds and shelters, and help you understand how to improve the value and pride in ownership for the American Pit Bull Terrier ( APBT ) as a whole. The American Pit Bull Registry ( APBR ) works closely with its members in developing a positive level of support and rapport both in their communities and around the world. The APBR works to positively promote the Pit Bull dog breed and takes an active role in increasing its monetary and intrinsic value and level of respect within the community. The APBR maintains the highest level of ethics in the entire registration industry regarding breeding practices. The APBR provides Kennel Certification as a FREE benefit to its breeding members only after they have agreed to adhere to our high quality standards and Code of Ethics. If you are a pure bred Pit Bull owner we would love to have you as a member working with us in promoting the positives of this most wonderful dog breed and in its responsible ownership. Qualification is easy. All you need to do to become a member is fill out, sign and mail in the proper Registration form attesting to the purity of your Pit Bull and submit this with a front and side picture along with the proper membership dues. Pit Bull Registration can even be expedited using our online registration process. For those individuals who have pups on the way we offer an additional program where both the sire and dam can be registered with the litter simultaneously and at a discount. The standard registration process for individual Pit Bulls is 6-8 weeks. When litters or registrations included with litters are enrolled these receive a priority and are processed in 2-4 weeks typically, due to the more time sensitive nature in which registration transfer papers are needed for those receiving a new Pit Bull puppy. In order to register a litter we require that at least one of the parents already be APBR registered or is concurrently in the registration process with the APBR and that both parents are attested to be pure-bred Pit Bulls. The American Pit Bull Registry ( APBR ) is happy to dual/multi register Pit Bulls from other registries as well. Such registration does help guarantee acceptance but is still subject to review and still requires all necessary material listed above.
